Latest FDA Changes to Nutritional Facts

For better or worse, the latest FDA changes to the nutritional facts panel is official. Health advocates have praised better visibility of what Americans are consuming, while food manufacturers/lobbyists are concerned about the potential of lost sales. A philosophical debate for another time perhaps. What you need to know is, how will this affect your business and your packaging? Don’t forget: Manufacturers will need to use the new label by July 26, 2018. However, manufacturers with less than $10 million in annual food sales will have an additional year to comply. (cited from FDA.gov 5/20/16)
